CLOSET CANUCK

Sue Frause has a crush on Canada. Even if you don't, read her travel tips and road notes. View her photos. Maybe plan a trip. It's all about our friends north of the 49th parallel. Cool idea, eh?

losing my passport

I don't know how it happened, but somehow I lost my passport -- in my home office.

So I went to the US Department of State's passport website (see blog post below for link) and printed out the
Statement Regarding a Lost or Stolen Passport form DS-64.

Then I printed out the
Application for a US Passport.

Then I found out the cost was going to be:

$55 Processing Fee
$30 Application Execution Fee
$12 Security Surcharge
$60 Expedited Service

That's a grand total of $157.

So where did I lose it? Somewhere in my office. I just know it's in here.

I've torn it apart several times and come up with nothing.

Maybe it ended up in the recycling bin.

Dang.

My last passport photo was actually OK.

Sue, did you find it? The thought of losing my passport is rather devastating to me. All the stamps, all the extra pages added in, my health card stapled to the back with proof of cholera and yellow fever shots...A replacement would just not do.
